I'd apologize for not updating my blog with anything of substance in a while but I am pretty remorseless.  Here are some quick tidbits to hold you over:

1. I may have a photography gig coming up.  My cousin's husband called yesterday asking if I'd take a family portrait.  No idea what I should charge them, though.
2. Lawrence Block sent me an ARC of Hit Me, his upcoming release, a couple weeks ago.  This is the second time my favorite living crime writer has sent me something to read.  It is also the second time I nearly wet myself and dropped everything to read it.
3. I am looking forward to Christmas for the first time since I was a kid.  Now if everyone else will get their ducks in a row and not through a wrench into the works, everything will be right with the world.
4. I finished my first read-through of Between Hell and a Hard Place.  Not only is it better than I remembered, I probably won't have to rework it as much as I thought.
