Day 10
It's day 10 and I'm way behind. However, since I lowered the bar, I'm not worried in the slightest.
One good thing about not feeling attempting to blaze through 75k as quickly as possible is that I have time to pick and choose my words. Some of the prose I've written so far is the best I've ever done.
I'm trying something new this time and still struggling to make it work for me. Since I've found that I hate going back and revising things, I'm editing as I go. The ratio is still off but I'm way more comfortable with what I've written so far.
The weekend is coming up and I'm planning on playing catch-up to a degree.
On non-writing news, I've taken some photos I'm fairly proud of in recent days. I'll post some of them later.

Day 2
The first evening of writing went very well. I knocked out 1700 words, a little more than my goal of 1500, and wrote the first two scenes of Stasis.
I'm going to try a little something different this go-round. Since I have a history of not going back to revise things, I'll be doing the revision as I go this time. It will slow down forward progress but the finished product will be more to my liking.
On a related note, I will be fleshing out the second scene a bit before pushing forward. Fortunately, I'm on the cusp of a four day weekend and thus have a ton of time for writing in the near future.

One more day. Quite a bit less than that, in fact.
It occurs to me that in NaNos past, I've made all chapters the same length and wrote a chapter a day, which makes writing 70-80k fairly manageable as long as I find time to write every day.
I think this time, since I'm writing something shorter, I'm going to have the chapters be between 500 and 1500 words and switch view point characters each chapter, between Simon Cable and his sister. Since I'm going for the pace of a Doctor Who two-partner, I think frequent viewpoint shifts and reversals of fortune will fit the feel I'm going for.
I kind of dropped the ball as far as the emergency list goes but I guess I'll make it up on the fly. I did change the main character's name to Simon Cable from Simon Black and refined the setting quite a bit so I think I'm still in a good place. Tomorrow, we'll find out, I guess.

Camp NaNoWriMo kicks off Wednesday. I am not as prepared as I would like to be but I could be in a lot worse shape.
The project has morphed quite a bit. Not only am I not sure I can do it in 20,000 words, I'm also not sure about the title. I can always change it later so it's not a big deal.
Over the weekend, I changed the nature of the antagonists, modified the setting a bit, added some much needed motivation to a couple factions, and even changed the name of the main characters. Not bad for an already full weekend.
