Well, that was 30 days of failure

I sure didn't get much writing done after the first couple days of Camp NaNoWriMo.  There were several factors.

1. Not enough planning - I left too many things to come up with on the fly.  Sf/fantasy takes way more planning than detective fiction.
2. Lack of motivation - I discovered I would much rather spend time with my lady friend than hermit it up.
3. Not the right time - There is always November to finish the first Simon Cable story.

I figure I can shelf what I've already done and actually do some preparation for November.  I've got a writer's meeting/dinner coming up that should help me work out some of the bugs.
