Where did August go? Hell, where has 2012 gone, for that matter. Seems like just yesterday I was sleeping late on New Year's Day after the MU330 concert.
Not a lot new going on that I'm compelled to share with the world at large. I'm up to the current season on Breaking Bad and it has risen to be my favorite show. I am the one who knocks!
Nothing new on the writing front except for some new ideas. I seem to have fallen completely out of writing mode at the time being and haven't read much more than comics (or graphic novels if you're too cool to admit you're reading comics) this month.

A quick update
I did an interview with Jay Kristoff, author of Stormdancer, on my book blog. It's hilarious and my favorite author interview so far. Read it and buy Jay's book.

Updates
- I have officially withdrawn from the August session of camp. Apparently I need more than a few days to come up with the necessary idea and enthusiasm.
- I made my third visit to the Castor River Shut Ins Tuesday evening with a cousin who is soon to be leaving for Japan. I may post some pictures later.
- A couple weeks ago, I received an ARC of Stormdancer. At the 75% mark, it is fantastic.
- Jessica over at Jessica Resides Here is doing a giveaway of Spike Marlow's Placenta of Love. Check it out.

August Camp - Day 7
It occurs to me that I should have learned my lesson after last year's crash and burn during Camp NaNoWriMo August. I was almost as underprepared as this year and still drained from the previous sessino of camp.
I'm not really feeling The Banker's Bride right now. I'm still planning on doing 50k worth of something this month but I'm not really sure what at this point. Maybe various short projects.

August Camp - Day 6
Anyone ever watch the show Breaking Bad? Turns out it's not a good show for me to suddenly get interested in right before starting to write a book. I'm three days behind schedule now.
I can't blame it all on Breaking Bad, though. I had a lot of things going on last weekend, like shopping for a new garage door, going to a church picnic, and going to a family reunion. But mostly it was the Breaking Bad watching that did it.
The writing itself is going well, at least. And I'm well ahead of where I was in June at this time.

August Camp - Day 1
So here we are again. Camp NaNoWriMo. Seems like we were just here.
The Banker's Bride is going smoothly. I'm already 2700 words in. The Banker and his bride to be have already been introduced, as have the bag of antique diamond jewelry that will serve as the MacGuffin.
As I do nearly every time, I'm wondering if this plot has the legs to go the distance. Since chapter 1 went long and I still didn't cover everything, I'm thinking it has a good chance. I made the right decision in going with The Banker's Bride.
